CLWSC Learn to Ski ProgramThe objective of the CLWSC Learn to Ski Program is to provide entry level ski lessons to develop skiing skills and enable them to join the show ski team or move on to one of the more specialized divisions. Skiers can learn to ski, including two-ski and slalom skiing, improve current skills, and brush up on form in addition to other lessons. The Learn to Ski program incorporates water sports safety, learning how to crew a water ski boat, and the benefits of water skiing and water sports in general.
USA Water Ski Members can pay reduced CLWSC dues and receive three 30 minute lessons. If they want to continue skiing, they can join the CLWSC Show Ski Team for prorated dues. Coventry Lake Water Ski Club Show Ski team members receive one 30 minute lesson per week as part of their dues. |
CLWSC Show Ski TeamHave you ever watched ballet dancers, gymnasts, or cheerleaders doing pyramids and wondered how difficult it is to complete such acts that involve strength, balance and grace? The Show Ski Program incorporates all of those, all while on one or two skis!
The purpose of the Show Ski Team is threefold: 1) To provide an entertaining show for the benefit of the club and the general public to display the skills that the ski team develops through practices and clinics; 2) To develop leadership, team building, communication and self-esteem of the members of the club using show skiing as the medium; 3) To educate the public on the benefits of water skiing and water sports in general. All ages and skill levels are welcome on our team! |
